Today, modern democracy is the best form of power to govern every country, large or small, rich or poor, educated or not. Efforts must always be made to achieve a liberal democracy, seen as the ultimate goal of all governments. The most humane way of governing the people who have governance is also called the democratic form of the republic. 3. In a democracy, mistakes occur as in any other form of government. But the advantage is that it can`t be hidden for long. Public debates and corrections always have room in a democratic government. Either the leaders have to change their decisions, or the leaders themselves can be changed by the people. So we can see that it allows us to correct our own mistakes. The limited understanding of representative democracy is as follows: Democracy develops the character of people. It grants many rights to people independent of their socio-economic and economic conditions.

Democracy needs its citizens to make informed decisions. But the study by study shows that people simply don`t know enough about the problems. People are often driven to vote against their interests. It`s not a mistake on our part: we`ve evolved from primitive monkeys – our brains may be perfect for hunting in the African savannah, but it`s certainly not appropriate to understand all the intricacies of health insurance or tax reform. On the contrary, we are all vulnerable to the victim of a very long list of cognitive biases. People died defending democracy. There have been wars and revolutions so that all citizens have a say in how their country is run. It would be foolish to throw all this on a whim. In the old days, the only way to get an incompetent government out was by violent means.

It`s easy to draw attention to autocracies that have booming economies and argue, „We need to emulate them.” But what if economic growth slows in these countries? It won`t be pretty. In a democracy, on the other hand, we can peacefully „throw away the bums.” Democracy can lead to instability, as the leaders of a democratic government keep changing. It is not possible to act quickly, as many people need to be consulted before making any decision. There is a lack of morality, while electoral competition gives way to corruption and bad choices. There were many arguments both for and against democracy. Some of the arguments in favour of democracy are: George Washington dreamed of a democracy without political parties. But just a few decades after his death, the United States embarked on a civil war.
